Pavilion KL, Malaysia’s premier shopping destination, today presented the Chinese New Year Prosperity Toss, with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, in conjunction with the Lunar New Year celebration. Symbolic of the close working relationship between Malaysia and China, as well as between Pavilion KL and the Chinese community in Malaysia, the festivity took place in the mall’s Centre Court at level 2.

The auspicious ceremony was co-hosted by His Excellency Dr Huang Hui Kang, China Ambassador to Malaysia, who was also present at the event, together with Dato’ Joyce Yap, CEO of Retail, Pavilion KL. Various representatives from Malaysia-based Chinese companies and institutions like the Xiamen University Malaysia Campus, Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Beijing Urban Construction Group and China Railway Construction Corporation Limited were among the guests present at the event. Local non-governmental organization like The Associated Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, Malaysia Inbound Chinese Association and Malaysia Inbound Tourist Association were also present.
